On the third and final day of the book fair, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Siraj-ul-Haq, Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Liaquat Baloch, Professor Khalid Mahmood, teachers, students and people from different fields participated in this ceremony. Rana Sikandar Hayat, in a speech at the ceremony, said: There is no other way to advance the country and the nation than through education. He said: Books play a very important role in the development of knowledge. He said he was very happy to see what books were read in the past. He said: There is a close relationship between education and books, and it is very good to see books dealing with different subjects under one roof.
He said that the Chief Minister of Punjab had issued instructions to set up a bank of old books in schools. He said that society should benefit from the departments of Punjab University. He said: There is a prospect that government schools will become better than non-government schools and necessary steps are being taken for this purpose. He appreciated the Vice Chancellor of the Punjab University for reviving the wonderful traditions of the Punjab University.
Sirajul Haq visited various stalls and showed special interest in books on different subjects. While talking to the media, he said: The government should spend 5% of GDP on education.
He said that the Punjab University had done a great service to the nation and it was a matter of luck that the book fair was being held again after a long hiatus.
The Emir of the Islamic Group said: We must build a library and a sports stadium because the nation cannot develop without knowledge and sports. He said as long as the relationship with the book is strong, Muslims in the world will win. He said: The problems of universities have been exacerbated by a lack of financial support. He said the Vice Chancellor of Panjab University and his team deserve commendation for promoting the reading habit.

Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood appreciated the efforts of all members of the Book Fair Coordination Committee and Chief Librarian Dr. Haroon Osmani for making the best arrangements to organize Pakistan's largest book fair for three days organized by Punjab University after 9 years. He said: “Thousands of people attended the book fair and the purchase of books is a testament to the university's success in promoting literary literacy. » He expressed hope that this tradition of book fairs will continue at the Punjab University in the coming years.
