Shahbaz Sharif was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan for the second time

While announcing the results of the Prime Minister's election in the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Siddiq, Speaker of the National Assembly, said that Shahbaz Sharif was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan by winning 201 votes and Umar Ayub Khan, the candidate of his opponent, won 92 votes.

Earlier, immediately after the start of the National Council meeting chaired by Sardar Ayaz Sadegh, the members of the Sunni Federation Council started a demonstration in front of the Speaker's dais but then went to their seats.

Before the process of electing the new chairman of the council began, the bells were rung for 5 minutes on the orders of the council chairman, and after the bells were rung, the doors of the council were closed and the council chairman was announced. The members of the Assembly did not participate in the Prime Minister election process and before closing the doors of the National Assembly, the members of the Assembly left the hall while Sardar Akhtar Mangal sat in the Assembly and cast his vote to all.
