
University of Sindh has raised serious concerns about Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) funds being given to people who are illegally occupying university land. The administration is urging authorities to stop these payments immediately.
According to Registrar Prof. Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jariko, the university's Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khoumbhati has been informed about these payments made to encroachers like Jalal Mari. These individuals have settled near Pir Badeji, close to the Sindh University Employees Co-operative Housing Society and the railway line.
The university has formally asked the BISP department to review and stop the disbursement of funds to these encroachers.
The statement also highlighted other illegal occupations around the Sindh University Township Scheme Land, especially near LUMHS, the railway station, and the university's water supply line.
Urgent action has been requested from the government and law enforcement agencies to safeguard university property from further illegal occupation.
