Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has started his official visit to four countries. He left from Lahore to Turkiye on Sunday, marking the first leg of his trip.
He is accompanied by:
- Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar
- Information Minister Attaullah Tarar
- Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi
The official visit will take place from May 25 to May 30. The Prime Minister will visit Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
According to the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will hold wide-ranging talks with the leaders of these countries. The discussions will focus on bilateral ties, regional matters, and global issues.
The Prime Minister will also thank these countries for their support during recent tensions with India.
Finally, the Prime Minister will attend the International Conference on Glaciers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on May 29–30.
