Trump: Alaska Summit with Putin Could Lead to Talks with Zelensky

President Donald Trump said the upcoming Alaska summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin could “set the stage” for a future trilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Trump insisted the summit would not reward Putin, despite critics’ warnings that it might weaken US efforts to isolate Russia.

He also expressed confidence that Putin “won’t mess around” with him during the talks.
