Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel al-Jubeir, has arrived in Pakistan on an official visit amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
Upon his arrival in Islamabad, Adel al-Jubeir was welcomed by the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan along with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Saudi Minister held an important meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar at the Foreign Office. Both sides discussed the current situation between Pakistan and India in detail.
According to officials, Adel al-Jubeir will also meet with other top Pakistani leaders to continue discussions on the regional situation and strengthen bilateral relations.
Before arriving in Islamabad, the Saudi minister was on an official visit to India and flew to Pakistan directly from New Delhi.
This visit is seen as part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to maintain diplomatic engagement and help ease tensions between the two nuclear neighbors.
