Shaheens Outplay Bangladesh ‘A’ with 79-Run Victory

Pakistan Shaheens started their Top End T20 Series campaign in style, defeating Bangladesh ‘A’ by 79 runs at TIO Stadium, Darwin, on Thursday evening. The win came through a mix of explosive batting and smart spin bowling.

After winning the toss, the Shaheens opted to bat first and posted a massive 227 for 4 in their 20 overs. Khawaja Mohammad Nafay (61 off 31 balls, 8 fours, 2 sixes) and Yasir Khan (62 off 40 balls, 7 fours, 2 sixes) set the tone with a quick 118-run opening partnership in just over 11 overs. Abdul Samad added late fireworks, smashing an unbeaten 56 from 27 balls with 5 sixes and a four. Captain Muhammad Irfan Khan contributed 25 runs from 12 balls, taking the total well beyond 200.

Bangladesh ‘A’ started their chase with intent, racing to 92 for 1 inside 7 overs.
