This match will be played at the International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, a suburb of Kandy and it is still possible that the start of the match may be delayed due to rain.
According to the BBC Weather forecast for September 2, there is a chance of thundershowers and strong winds in Kandy today. According to this, there is a 65% chance of rain in Kandy at 2:30 and 80% at 5:30.
According to the weather website Echo Weather, the rains will start in Palikele on Saturday morning and will continue till Monday evening. He has predicted a 60 percent chance of rain at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Sri Lanka's Department of Meteorology has said that the maximum temperature in Kandy will be 28 degrees Celsius. He has predicted intermittent rains in the city.
But a prediction has also been made by former Pakistani captain Wasim Akram. He posted a video on social media from his hotel in Kandy, in which he says that it is raining lightly, and there are clouds in the sky.
"The (sky) is clearing from behind."
He said that it is being said that the weather is fine. The ground is an hour away from here, so the weather might be different there.
Wasim Akram said that he wished both the teams all the best and advised the fans in Punjabi 'Remember this is just a match. Someone has to win and someone has to lose.
He told the fans to 'just support your teams and enjoy good cricket.'
This match between Pakistan and India will be played on a fresh pitch.
Earlier, the second match of the Asia Cup was also played in Palikele, between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, in which Sri Lanka won by five wickets.
It was a low-scoring match with a total of 15 wickets falling.
If the Pakistan vs. India pitch is similar to this match, there might be room for fast bowlers and spinners to perform better.
There is no change in the Pakistani team
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced yesterday that Pakistan is not making any changes to the team for its second match in the Asia Cup.
It should be noted that in his first match against Nepal in the Asia Cup, Pakistani captain Babar Azam scored 151 runs while all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed scored his first career century.
Pakistan's pace attack consists of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah while Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz strengthen the bowling as spinners.
On the other hand, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team has Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli apart from Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav.
Along with the rain, a series of predictions regarding the result of the match is also going on.
Former Pakistani all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez says that 'India is a good team but not a complete team at present.'
"Their biggest problem is that when the big tournament comes, they sit like foam."
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri says that India are favorite in this match and this is India's strongest team since 2011.
He said that in a pressure-filled match, motivation is more useful than the form of the player and this proves to be decisive.
