Sindh government announced a public holiday on December 27

KARACHI – The interim Sindh government announced a public holiday on December 27 (Wednesday) to mark the death anniversary of slain Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

The 16th death anniversary of late PPP leader Benazir Bhutto will be observed with reverence in Sindh and parts of the region on Wednesday, and PPP has finalised arrangements to observe the martyrdom anniversary of the assassinated leader.

Following Benazir’s death anniversary, Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (r) Maqbool Baqar’s spokesperson announced a public holiday.

A notification in this regard said the government of Sindh has been pleased to declare 27th December 2023 (Wednesday) as a Public Holiday throughout the Province of Sindh on the occasion of Shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
