Indian Air Force Acknowledges Losses in Aerial Combat

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following a week of intense air clashes, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has confirmed it lost assets during the combat, including Rafale jets, but has not shared any specific details.

At a press conference on Operation Sindoor, senior defence officials from India did not confirm how many or which types of aircraft were lost.

Air Marshal AK Bharti said, "We are in a combat situation, and losses are expected." He emphasized that the main focus should be on whether India achieved its goals.

When asked about the number of assets lost during the fight with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Marshal Bharti refused to provide details, stating, "We don't want to give the enemy any advantage at this stage."

The Indian Defence Ministry has not yet shared the full details of the losses. However, the phrase “losses are part of combat” has led many to believe the IAF faced significant setbacks, possibly including the loss of Rafale jets.
