As September comes to an end, Infinix has launched the 4G version of the Hot 50, following the release of its 5G variant. While the design remains mostly unchanged, there are some differences in performance specifications.
Design and Display
The 4G Infinix Hot 50 features the same 6.78-inch IPS LCD display as the 5G model but with an improved resolution of 1080p, up from 720p. It also maintains a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 800 nits, making it even brighter. The device still includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and always-on display support.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Hot 50 4G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 chip. While this may feel like a slight downgrade from the 6300 used in the 5G version, it still offers decent performance, especially for gaming, with the same Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Users can choose between 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, with storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB, and there’s a memory card slot for additional storage. The device runs on Infinix’s XOS 14.5 skin over Android 14.
Camera Setup
The camera system includes a 50MP primary sensor, which is slightly smaller than the one on the 5G model but features a brighter f/1.6 aperture lens. It also includes a 2MP depth sensor, allowing for video recording options of 2K at 30 FPS and 1080p at 60 FPS. On the front, there's an 8MP selfie camera for clear shots.
Battery and Pricing
The Hot 50 4G comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, reverse wired charging, and bypass charging. The device is priced more affordably at $165 and is available in three stylish colors: Sleek Black, Sage Green, and Titanium Gray.
