On May 12, U.S. President Donald Trump made a bold statement, claiming that his administration had successfully prevented a nuclear war between India and Pakistan.
“We stopped a nuclear conflict. Millions would have been killed,” Trump said, attributing the breakthrough to his team's intervention, which helped broker a ceasefire amid rising military tensions in the region.
Trump also praised the leaders of both countries, calling their response “unwavering and powerful.” He added, “They truly showed strength, wisdom, and an understanding of the gravity of the situation.”
He noted that a trade agreement played a key role in de-escalating the crisis and enabling diplomatic progress between the two nuclear-armed nations.
